Our Mandate

The Backpack Project is a non-profit organization that helps children in the Caribbean by equipping them with school backpacks; providing them the necessary items to learn, achieve and succeed.

About Us: The Backpack Project is a registered Canadian non-profit organization that promotes health and education among Caribbean students by providing them with pre-packed backpacks containing stationery items and personal health items. Our aim is to equip students with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom, as well as to improve their personal health and hygiene. In so doing, we wish to make a difference in these children's lives one backpack at a time.

Contact Us: For more information or to speak with a member of The Backpack Project Team, please visit our website www.backpackproject.ca, email us info@backpackproject.ca or call us at 647-539-0030.

The Backpack Project, in partnership with the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton (CCAH), will be assisting school-aged children and families affected by the volcano that erupted in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  Backpacks containing stationery and personal health items will be assembled and shipped to students in SVG for the upcoming school year.  Backpacks containing non-perishable food items will be distributed to families, with food items purchased from local businesses and food establishments.  We ask for your financial support, as we work to assist these students and families.
